A number of young children want to be superstars of the future for the WWE or other Athletics entertainment outfit. Since the WWE certainly is the largest employer in the business it indicates that it can be tough for a young, up and coming superstar, to have direct notice from the WWE company. Even if you do get employed you may have to undergo a development deal at, for instance OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) or you will start like a "security guard" or "enforcer" for a better known wrestler. Currently comes the time to sell your act as a WWE aspirant Super Star.

So now you have been hired and you have become part of your dream business model. How do you make sure you will be making a long lasting impact on, not only the boss, but also on the fans? The truth is that many wrestling champions have been "made" by the office. There have been many WWE wannabe stars in the last few years that have fallen just as quickly as they rose to prominence. In recent years, wrestlers like "Carlito" and "Santino Marella" have been pushed extremely hard, but "Carlito" never was able to make it as either a huge fan favorite or a "heel" hated by the fans. So you need to make sure that your character goes the way management wants, but also how the fans want. This can mean a completely over the top character like "Santino" might do the trick in making you an "absurd" fan favorite, while on the other hand being someone like Chris Jericho will make you a very hated person. Both are good for your career as WWE wannabe because office personnel will see this and work with you on different angles to make your career a lot longer.

Every WWE wannabe Superstar has undergone at least 2 or 3 major changes as the characters need to go with the times and the fan standpoints on social matters as well as political opinions. The fluctuations can mean that your character might go from a "heel" to a "face" and maybe back again a few times during your career. Wrestlers like "Hulk Hogan", "The Rock" and "Stone Cold Steven Austin" have all had a "heel" period (or sometimes even more than just one) in their career. Someone like Hulk Hogan has even extended his career by 5 years thanks to it. A past champion like Chris Jericho would have been "retired" if he had not turned heel in 2008 or so and started a new reign of terror.

So, if you want to make an impact as a WWE wannabe, try to come up with your own ideas about character forming and building, but never be afraid to take advice from those that have been in the business for a long time. In wrestling, and the WWE in particular, everyone wants wrestlers to succeed as success for one wrestler means better and bigger contracts for other wrestlers as well.
